So without further ado, let me introduce; a few of my favourite things (sung a la Julie Andrews from The Sound of Music of course)
Stila Convertible Color for Lips and Cheeks in 'Petunia':You may have noticed this particular item featured on my ASOS wishlist I posted last week, well of course wishlists are for buying and I'm so glad I did - I am completely in love with this cream blush. The cream formula adds a subtle flush of colour to my cheeks coupled with a beautiful dewy sheen which lifts and brightens my complexion. Will definitely be going back for more shades!
Yves Saint Laurent Forever Foundation:
I've been on the hunt for a new foundation for a good while now; something that provides a good medium coverage without looking cakey and will give me a healthy, 'glow' that other foundations have yet to deliver on. Enter YSL's Forever Foundation. I seemed to have missed the initial hype with this foundation but scrolling through foundation recommendations on Vivianna's blog I thought it sounded perfect - and so far it really is; it gives an airbrushed look of really good skin (while still looking natural when buffed in with my Real Techniques Buffing brush) and leaves me with an even and healthy complexion which lasts me all day - so far so good.
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Carbon Gloss Liquid Eyeliner:
The ultimate eyeliner. Great application, stays on all day and stays black all day too - I can't emphasise how amazing this stuff is and I haven't strayed from this eyeliner in years - it's that good.
Stila Smudge Pot in 'Kitten':
Another recommendation from Kate, I bought this cream eyeshadow a couple of months ago in (another) ASOS haul and honestly, it hasn't been off my eyes since. A champagne shade with a hint of pink, I find it perfect for everyday wear; especially for someone like me who isn't used to wearing eyeshadows everyday. For night, I like to add a darker eyeshadow to the crease and turn it into a smokey eye - it lasts all day (and night), never creases and is the perfect shade on its own or as a base with shadow on top.
Topshop Nail Varnish in 'Boy Next Door':
You know that one nail polish you have that you continually go back to? Well, for me, this is it. 'Boy Next Door' is my perfect summer shade and I'm pretty sure it won't be off my tips this season - the perfect mint/blue/turquoise/duck egg blue colour it brightens my nails up and seems to even make my hands look more tan! (who knows, maybe it is possible...)
Are there any products you stay true to? Any new favourites you've discovered? Let me know!
Let me know, if you would like to see more of these posts on what I'm currently loving; I'm considering making them a bit of a semi-regular feature, though I feel its only fair to warn you regular is not my strongest suit....
